Gala Holiday Ball
Set for December

Get out your calendar and put a star on Sunday, Dec. 9 - then start planning which gown you're going to wear. That's the date of the QVH Foundation's new fundraising gala, a glamorous extravaganza that will include a champagne reception, dinner, dancing, and both silent and live auctions.

The event - the first edition of what we hope will become an annual tradition - will be held at the Silverado Country Club and Resort. Tickets are $150 a person, and black tie is welcome but optional.

This year the Holiday Ball will honor the Napa Valley Vintners Association. "They've done so much for Queen of the Valley and for the whole community," explains Foundation trustee Renee Lawson, who's co-chairing the event. "We wanted to do something special to let them know how much we appreciate their many contributions."

One of the most exciting elements of the evening will be the live and silent auctions. "We'll have an amazing selection of auction items," promises co-chair Gary Garaventa, "including winemaker dinners, trips to Yellowstone, New York, Australia, and other international destinations, and some very exciting wine lots. And all the proceeds will go to help the hospital."
