CP Grant for Cancer CareCommunity Projects, Inc., recently gave $25,000 to the QVH Foundation toward purchase of a new CT scanner for the hospital. The donation is the latest in a long line of gifts from Community Projects, which has always had close ties to the Queen. Were very grateful for Community Projects continued support of the hospital, says Foundation Executive Director David Johnson. They exemplify the giving spirit of this community. New technology is expensive and there are always so many new things coming out, says Lillian Jensen, CPs vice-president. But those machines save many lives, and unless we keep up with the times we could be in trouble. Over the years CP has given almost $6 million to the hospital and other local charities and nonprofits. Helping the Queen keep up-to-date is one more way CP serves the community, Lillian adds. After all, any one of us may need the hospital and that new equipment some day. |
